Angry Ass | E34 Fuel Filter Maintenance Kit
The fuel delivery system is definitely an area most overlook for regular maintenance. A clogged or failing fuel filter typically causes surging, stalling and just generally poor performance since your engine can’t get the fuel it needs.
The kit consists of a Mahle filter with dampening ring, 1.00 meter of fuel line (1.00 meter will leave you with extra typically), abrasion protection wrap ( 0.50 meter) and new stainless steel rolled edge hose clamps. The abrasion protection isn’t an OEM thing but we believe in improving things while were in there and it helps protect the rubber lines from rocks and other damage from the tires and chassis. For M60 powered cars we provide a new OEM BMW bracket and hardware to convert from the expensive and leak prone dual filter arrangement to the later style large single element.
NOTE: Depressurize the fuel system by removing the fuel pump fuse or fuel pump relay and cranking the vehicle before doing any fuel system work. Also have a fire extinguisher available and do all work in a well ventilated area with no open flames or sparks.
