Angry Ass | S38 + M30 Low Profile Engine Mount Arm
Originally conceived as a solution to fitment issues with Supersprint headers on our E34 race car, this part has evolved to be a solution for naturally aspirated builds as well as forced induction applications that need more clearance. Not satisfied with the aesthetics or potential safety issues of a welded unit we decided to CNC machine the arm from a solid billet of 6061 aluminum.
We’ve moved the arm mounting point lower on the block to increase clearance while using finite element analysis to optimize the design so that all loads (static and dynamic) are considered and mass is optimized with regards to machining cost. We include 10.9 OEM BMW hardware, a new Angry Ass engine to chassis ground cable and required hardware.
