The 2mm increased diameter over the US specification M5 sedan (1mm increase in diameter over the Nurburgring Package-equipped or post-May 1994 production rest of world M5s) grants a marked increase in torsional rigidity. This is a trick pulled straight out of Garching’s hat for reducing understeer, and a noticeable increase to the sporting character of your family sedan.
