Unfortunately, the vent line from the valve cover to the oil separator for the S38B36 is no longer available, which makes this maintenance kit a bit more complicated for us. We decided to use the line from the S38B38, which is still available and a mostly direct fit, with the exception of interference with the S38B36 vacuum reservoir. Our fix for that is our custom 6061 aluminum vacuum reservoir. We’ve reduced the length of the reservoir to allow the S38B38 vent line to clear, and increased the diameter of the reservoir to maintain the same capacity as OEM.
Base kit includes Genuine BMW lines, vacuum reservoir mount, Norma stainless steel hose clamps and our billet aluminum vacuum reservoir. Up to you if you’d like to take things a step further, replace the rubber isolators and oil separator o-ring located on the bottom of the plenum.
