Angry Ass | S38B36 Idle Air Control Maintenance Kit
The S38B36 idle air control system consists of a feed line from the intake plenum to the idle air control valve, which then feeds air via a small line to the middle independent throttle body set. This in turn feeds the other two throttle banks via supply tubes located between the throttle sets which are sealed with o-rings. If you’re still with us: like any rubber component that’s been subjected to years of heat and abuse, these components have a finite life span and it’s a good idea to replace them to obtain no vacuum leaks and a steady idle.
Our S38B36 maintenance kit includes a new OEM BMW mount for the idle air control valve, new OEM BMW lines and Norma stainless steel hose clamps. Optional upgrade includes supply tube o-rings, and throttle body gaskets.
ATTENTION: To replace the supply tube o-rings between throttle sets requires removal of the throttle bodies.
